SoulxMaka-Wounds-Chapter 1

I was soundly sleeping in our apartment alone, finally some peace, Maka was out and Blair was off to her part-time job. Then suddenly an oblivious knocking  beseeched the front door. Who could that be? Being annoyed I opened the door quickly. It was Tsubaki, there was an odd melancholy on her face.

"Whats up Tsubaki?", I promptly said.

"Its Maka", Tsubakis voice was shaking seemingly about to break and burst to tears.

"What about Maka?", I worriedly said upon seeing Tsubakis expression.

"D...d..di..s.pensary.", hearing these words I went as fast as I could to the dispensary.

I ran like a maniac down the stairs, out, and drove my bike as fast as it could go. Thoughts rushed through my head. What in the world could have happened to Maka to make such an expression on Tsubakis face? Without knowing it I was on front of Shibusen.   I immeadeatly got of the bike and ran my way to the dispensary. I ran faster, faster, faster and faster. I was near the dispensary, when my speed fell seeing blood. It was blood! Could it be Maka's? The trail of blood reached until front door of the dispensary, which I found myself standing at. There I saw Kid, Liz, Patty and Black Star, Star covered in blood. All sharing the same look as I saw on Tsubaki's face. Black Star covered in blood? But no wounds?

"Black Star what did you do?!", I angrily sad while grabing him by his bloody shirt. He had no reply. His face, glommier than before. "What did you do! What?1 What?! What?!!!!".

"Soul, it wasnt Black Stars doing." Kid broke my tension.

"But who then?! What?! Why?!", angrily I said.

"A bunch of witches ambushed Maka on her way home to your apartment, she fought back but alone, she was outnumbered. Black star arrived at the scene but everything was too late. So what Black Star did was carried Maka here to the school's dispensary. " Kid promptly said with a face of gloom.

There was silence for a long time, all of us was in a trance of  silence and melancholy. The sound of the door opening broke the silent trance. 

"The operation was a success, but her condition is not stable. She lost a lot of blood. Also, she had injuries both from the physical anf magical attacks. There were effects from the magical attacks, like paralysis. But it isn't permanent though ", Prof. Stein said with an unhappy expression. I was shocked. How could all of these happen while I was sleeping!

"But to tell you the truth, there is only a slim chance she will live. Now, excuse me.", prof. Stein said with a cracking tone. 

Slim chance she will live?! I hope Stein was joking, but by the looks of his face he wasn't. 

'Maka why you?'
